Underrated. This is a 3-star Michelin experience and has been criminally overlooked by the Michelin guide at ‘only’ 2 stars. When objectively compared alongside the US A-listers of French Laundry, Smyth, Single Thread, and Alinea this outshines a couple of them and should be mentioned in the same breath. I consider this a deal at a mere $2300 for two.

While generally there are a few dishes that may underperform over the course of an evening at any Michelin experience, there were surprisingly no misses along the way and everything was enjoyed, though there were naturally a few hands down favorites along the way. In particular the wagyu tartar and wagyu/truffle/hazelnut savory dish were very memorable. We also opted for the Yubari King Melon and it didn’t disappoint- I wish I could eat that fruit every day.

As a note, they were very accommodating with dietary restrictions and adjusted every dish as needed. Just communicate with them ahead of time via email.

As a huge fan of wine and pairings, I’ll say that the F*** it pairing at $660 was worth it and had some amazing selections from the old world, generally from the right bank of Bordeaux. They also weren’t stingy with the pours and I never had an empty glass.

Lastly, the playlist of hip hop music gave it such a fun vibe that we found ourselves dancing in our seats at times and they were fully ok with that and actually encourage everyone to have fun with it and the team of service individuals were just awesome at every turn.

Overall a phenomenal experience and I’m looking forward to trying their sister restaurant Omo in Orlando.
